So often hunters rely on their game cameras to the point that they don’t realize their limitations.  As a hunter, you would like to think running a half dozen cameras or so on your farm would render you a picture of every buck it holds.  But this just isn’t the case.  So often in the past I’ve seen it play out where bucks seemingly are dead or disappear only to show up the day you harvest them.  It is entirely possible for them to live on your farm all fall and never walk in front of one of your cameras.  Check out a quick article I wrote on the subject.  In it, I illustrate a few first hand examples of how I learned through experience the limitations of scouting cameras.  Click here for the article.

Oh, and “Barkley” is back.  To prove my point some more, I have been waiting and hoping to get a picture of a buck I have been following since last year I nicknamed “Barkley”.  He finally showed up.
